Ruth Alfson, CAFM®, Receives NAFA's Distinguished Service Award
Serco Group Fleet Manager has been an active NAFA member for over 20 years
PRINCETON, N.J. – (June 05, 2018) – NAFA Fleet Management Association (NAFA), the vehicle fleet industry’s largest membership association, honors Ruth Alfson, CAFM®, with the Distinguished Service Award, the Association's highest form of recognition. The presentation took place at its annual conference, the NAFA Institute & Expo (I&E), in Anaheim, Calif., this past April.

ruth.JPGAlfson, Fleet Manager/DOT Compliance - Fleet Management for Serco Group, has been a NAFA member for over 20 years, and has served as a Chapter officer and as a member and/or Chair of every educational committee on NAFA's national level. She served as the Association’s president during 2015-2017.
NAFA’s Distinguished Service Award recognizes a Regular or Associate Member who made exceptional contributions to the Association over many years. NAFA President Bryan Flansburg, CAFM, said, “This award is something we give out sparingly, usually only when the mere mention of the person’s name makes it clear they deserve the award,” Flansburg said. “That is certainly the case this year.”
Alfson has been a tireless champion of and contributor to NAFA’s educational products and programs. As a long-time instructor for NAFA’s seminars, boot camps, and educational offerings, her wealth of knowledge of the fleet industry has been a valuable resource to writing NAFA’s guides and printed resources. Alfson has served on the Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors for 14 years and is a prior recipient of NAFA’s Excellence in Education award.
NAFA congratulates Ruth Alfson and thanks her for her commitment to the Association.
